Frantic Assembly is currently offering two student workshops suitable for GCSE level and above. These workshops are also available to community groups and other organisations.
Devising and Physicality
Bring your exploration of devising techniques to life by engaging the skills and experience of a specialist Frantic Assembly practitioner within your classroom. Our Devising and Physicality workshop will:
- Promote physical confidence and encourage participants to look beyond self perceived limitations within a fun, energetic and safe environment.
- Instruct students on the various devising processes used by Frantic Assembly when working collaboratively to produce multi disciplined performance.
- Address key skills required for students to enhance their abilities in the areas of performance, movement, directing and critical analysis.
‘The workshop was very well structured with relevant warm-ups, clearly demonstrated and explained exercises and a final, fascinating devising task that enabled the participants to exploit all the skills and ideas they had so recently explored. I would certainly have no doubt in recommending your company highly to any other school or college.’ Head of Drama, Oxted County School
Othello Uncovered Workshops
A unique workshop enabling participants to discover the devices and techniques used to create Othello. The workshop includes learning material from Frantic Assembly’s production of the show and the opportunity to create original material following the processes used by the company. The workshop is energetic and creative and will provide a valuable insight into Frantic Assembly’s working practice. As the show has a recommended age limit of 14 years upwards, this workshop is suitable for students in year 10 and above only.
'It is so refreshing to work with practitioners who know how to motivate, challenge and stimulate the imaginations of our students.' Head of Drama, Kenilworth School and Sports College
Workshops are led by one of Frantic Assembly's Creative Practitioners. The workshops can vary in content and length (minimum of two hours) and will be tailored to suit the experience or dynamics of your group to ensure you get the most from our visit.
