Kimberleigh Mitchell
Kimberleigh (she/her) is the Learning & Participation Coordinator at Frantic Assembly and joined the company in August 2021. Before working at Frantic Assembly, she worked alongside developing participatory arts and performance programmes with; National Theatre as Secondary and FE Assistant, Royal Opera House as Learning & Participation Project Assistant and Jacksons Lane Arts Centre as Participation Intern, creating exciting ground-breaking work, reaching new audiences.
Kimberleigh is an emerging poet, community arts producer & facilitator. She has a BA in Drama from Canterbury Christ Church University and has worked in educational establishments, community settings and creative spaces for over three years, including; theatre, circus, opera and ballet with community groups ageing between 5 to 55 years plus with young people, teachers, freelance artists, and elderly people in community arts settings.
Kimberleigh is passionate about access to the arts with theatre for social change and facilitating safe spaces for underrepresented voices in the community where connecting, nurturing participants voices and making a positive difference is at the heart of the work produced. She believes in uplifting the importance of self-expression and creating a community's identity, where there is strength and power in self-image, individual voices and life-changing & expanding experiences.
